2010 is the year of the wedding. Seriously, if nothing significant happens to me in the next six months - such as meeting Nelson Mandela, finding the cure for AIDS and cancer and (more realistically) becoming a journalist again, then this year is all about the following: attending five weddings, three hen dos in three countries while avoiding bankruptcy.
To those who remember, originally I was set to attend six but at the last minute my mum replaced me with her twin sister as her plus 1.
So by the end of this year I will have attended the weddings for the following: my brother-in-law's brother (it's all relative!), my dad's best friend's daughter, my college friend Lu, former lesbian Natalie Clarke (full story to come) and finally, my dear friend Faye Keane whose lavish big days takes place in Las Vegas!
Follow my journey as I hunt for dresses, search for the perfect wedding present, paint cities red on the hen dos and of course shed many happy tears for the newlyweds. Along the way I guarantee I will find myself in numerous hilarious and disastrous situations - this is me after all.
Note to the rest of my loved up friends (I can immediately think of 6!): please DO NOT get married in 2010... I know it's selfish but Debs needs the rest. However if you must do so then I guess I can always amend the title of this blog...
